Our Mission
We have a firm belief that the transformation of quality materials through skilled craftsmanship and human creativity enhance our experiences in deeply meaningful ways. Our strong interest in handcrafted pottery for use in the kitchen and entertaining drives the collection which is comprised of items individually selected for our gallery. We love the connections between maker and user that deepen over time. Our focus is to provide the local community with access to finely crafted pottery as well as a ceramic studio in which it is made.
Our Story
Local Pottery is both my working studio and artisan gallery featuring studio ceramics and fine craft. I opened my shop in Pembroke, Massachusetts, on the beautiful South Shore 1996.
Moving to Norwell in 2014 fulfilled my dream
of expanding the gallery in a spacious, light-filled, post and beam building where I continue to make and share my passion for all manner of ceramics.
While the gallery is a destination for anyone looking to expand their collection of handmade mugs and dinnerware, or find beautiful bowls, vases, or one-of-a-kind treasures to gift to their loved ones, we also love when folks stop by just to say hello and enjoy the work.
